The Li-6(gamma,np) and Li-6(gamma,pp) reactions have been studied usin
g tagged photons in the range 114 < E(gamma) < 600 MeV. Excitation fun
ctions and missing energy spectra are presented. The simple structure
of Li-6 and kinematical constraints are exploited to determine the rel
ative importance of the various photoabsorption mechanisms. The genuin
e two-nucleon absorption can be identified up to photon energies of 50
0 MeV and is found to be most important at low missing energies. The L
i-6(gamma,np) data are well reproduced by predictions of a quasideuter
on model.
