Wm. Drake et Df. Innes, PRIMARY GASTRIC LYMPHOMA PRESENTING WITH VITAMIN-B-12 DEFICIENCY AND ACHLORHYDRIA, The American journal of gastroenterology, 91(12), 1996, pp. 2605-2606
Gastric lymphoma is an uncommon condition, usually presenting with epi
gastric pain and/or dyspepsia. There is now good evidence that infecti
on with Helicobacter pylori (Hp) is etiologically important. We report
here a case of primary gastric lymphoma presenting with vitamin B-12
deficiency anemia and achlorhydria in which there was evidence of prev
ious, but not current, infection with Hp. Vitamin B-12 deficiency was
proven to be due to intrinsic factor deficiency. To our knowledge, thi
s condition has not previously been reported.
