Abstract
The identification and documentation of outcomes data has become a cri tical demonstration of clinical accountability, and has led to the inn ovation of ''best practice'' standard in the behavioral healthcare ind ustry In this article, the authors argue that while such standards are necessary, it is essential to move beyond finite benchmarking criteri a and attempt to synthesize clinical experience and expertise. lj, acc omplishing the above, the authors propose a model for coordinating cha nges in behavioral healthcare treatment, redesign and service delivery .
