Abstract
Let E be an elliptic curve over Q, and p a prime number greater than o r equal to 11, other than 13, such that the representation of Gal((Q) over bar/Q) in E(p)((Q) over bar) is contained in the normalizer of a split Cartan subgroup. This Note is concerned with the possible existe nce of an elliptic curve E' over Q, non isogenous to E over Q, such th at the Gal((Q) over bar/Q)-modules E(p)((Q) over bar) and E'(p)((Q) ov er bar) are isomorphic.
