Two versions of extended mode-coupling theory are compared in the long
-wavelength limit. The results are relevant for the light-scattering s
pectrum of supercooled liquids. It is shown that both versions predict
the existence of a central Mountain peak whose width is independent o
f the wave vector at small k.
