Abstract
Fluorescence-line-narrowing (FLN) spectra of the oxazine dye nile blue are obtained at 5 K in both ethanol glass and PVOH polymer. Multiple spectra, each associated with a different excitation wavelength settin g, are presented. We analyze these spectra assuming a site-independent molecular response. Excellent agreement obtains in the ethanol glass host. (C) 1996 American Institute of Physics.
