Abstract
Coordination of oxyphosphorus ligands to pentaamminechromium(III) lowe rs the ligand field strength of the ammines to a much greater extent t han trichloroacetate. This presumably signifies a weaker metal-nitroge n bond, and may contribute to the reluctance of the amines in aminopho sphonate ligands to coordinate.
