Abstract
Two infants with urea cycle disorders had life-threatening hyperammone mia within the first 5 days of life, Both patients were small for date s, poorly oxygenated, and hemodynamically unstable, We employed a comb ination of extracorporeal oxygenation and hemodialysis to provide high -flow filtration in a controlled system to rapidly detoxify both patie nts.
