Abstract
Managed care method, and the cost containment concerns from which they arose, have dramatically reduced the use of psychological testing dra matically. This article critiques that trend and proposes how selected tests ran be used cost-effectively in specific situations. The author has conducted research and written extensively on this subject, inclu ding a chapter in ''The Computerization of Behavioral Healthcare: How to Enhance Clinical Practice, Management and Communications.''
