Abstract
Concentration of Ca, Mg and F with respect to chlorinity was studied i n the major river mouths and coastal water of Orissa. A decreasing tre nd was observed in the ratio of the elements to chlorinity towards the off-shore regions. This may be due to fresh water influx through rive rs. An increasing trend of the said ratio towards the northern part of the coast indicated comparatively higher fresh water inflow as compar ed to the southern part.
