Relationships describing the nonlinear elastic behavior of a powder co
mposite which contains randomly distributed inclusions and pores are d
erived. The effective properties of the composite under simple types o
f deformation are described, and conditions for plastic yielding, taki
ng into account separation of the inclusions from the matrix, are obta
ined. The dependence of the yield point on the concentration of inclus
ions was determined to be nonmonotonic.
