The crystal structure of triammonium hydrogen diselenate (NH4)(3)H(SeO
4)(2) in phase V is studied by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The s
pace group symmetry (Cc) and structure parameters are determined at -1
30 degrees C. The difference of the structure between phase IV and pha
se V is discussed. The origin of the spontaneous polarization of (NH4)
(3)H(SeO4)(2) in phase V is also discussed.
