Abstract
This study compared the durability and shear bond strengths of combina tions of three adhesive primers and three resin cements bonded to silv er-palladium-copper gold (Ag-Pd-Cu-Au) and cobalt-chromium (Co-Cr) all oys. The adhesive luting cements Imperva Dual, Panavia 21, and Super-B ond C&B and the adhesive primers Metal Primer material, V-Primer mater ial, and Cesead Opaque Primer material were used. The application of M etal Primer material was effective in improving the shear bond strengt hs between each of the three resin cements and Ag-Pd-Cu-Au alloy compa red with nonprimed specimens. Co-Cr alloy primed with Cesead Opaque Pr imer, followed by cementation with Imperva Dual or Super-Bond C&B luti ng cements yielded the strongest shear bond strengths after 50,000 the rmocycles, and Panavia 21 cement did not reveal any significant differ ences in bond strengths between nonprimed specimens and those primed w ith Cesead Opaque Primer at all thermocycles.
