Abstract
A 20 year old man with a progressive flexion contracture of the proxim al interphalangeal joint of his right ring finger had an anomalous ori gin of the flexor digitorum superficialis tendon. After excision of th e aberrant flexor tendon the patient had a normal range of movement of the proximal interphalangeal joint.
