Abstract
We report a patient who, following an allogeneic bone marrow transplan t for multiple myeloma, recovered autologous erythropoiesis which was rapidly followed by relapse of her multiple myeloma, We postulate that the loss of the graft (as demonstrated by loss of donor erythropoiesi s) and subsequent relapse of the multiple myeloma may be support for t he existence of a graft-versus-myeloma effect.
