STUDY OF THE SPONTANEOUS FISSION HALF-LIVES IN THE MULTIDIMENSIONAL COLLECTIVE SPACE

Spontaneous fission half-lives of the Fm isotopes are analyzed in a mu ltidimensional collective space. The parameters describing the shape o f nuclei {beta lambda}, lambda = 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and the pairing degr ees of freedom Delta(p) and Delta(n) are taken into account. The half- lives T-sf are calculated by the WKB method. We propose the 'optimal' collective space (beta(2), beta(4), beta(6), Delta(p), Delta(n)) for d ynamical calculations of the spontaneous fission half-lives of nuclei in this region. The T-sf for the even-even Fm isotopes are calculated.
