Abstract
Juvenile hormone (JH) metabolism in two lines of Drosophila melanogast er adults was studied under normal conditions and after short-time hea t stress. Females of the line Cy/L; D/Sb were shown to have high JH hy drolysis levels which to decreased when they experienced heat stress b y decreasing its level. Genetic analysis of differences in the level o f JH metabolism in fines 921283 and Cy/L; D/Sb of D. melanogaster unde r normal conditions was performed. It was established that the trait s tudied was inherited according to the incomplete dominance type. It wa s shown that these differences were controlled by the gene (genes) loc alized in chromosome 2.
