Abstract
Esophageal function testing has an important place in the investigatio n of a significant proportion of patients with esophageal disorders. A ppropriate application of these tests requires a proper understanding of their capabilities and limitations and careful primary assessment b y other modalities. This article discusses fluoroscopy, esophageal man ometry, and esophageal pH monitoring as methods of esophageal function testing.
