THE PSYCHIATRIC PRESENTATION OF A CEREBELLOPONTINE ANGLE TUMOR

A 54 year old woman presenting to the psychiatric services with persec utory delusions, complex visual hallucinations and fluctuating levels of consciousness was discovered to have a meningioma occupying the cer ebellopontine angle. The psychiatric symptomatology of cerebellopontin e angle lesions is reviewed and the pathogenic mechanisms are explored in the light of the symptomatology observed.
