Abstract
A convergent synthesis of the novel systems 2 and 3 is reported, illus trating the first examples of [1(6)] and [1(8)]heterophanes containing two 1,2,4-triazolate and two imidazolium heteroaromatic moieties, whi ch confer their quadrupular nature.
