LaNi5 and inert SiO2 powder has been carried out at the MH-activator
inlet with pressures equal to 24-190 Pa and the outlet pressures of 1.
8-8.4 Pa. This corresponds to the hydrogen pressure in the ionization
box bring equal to 10(-1) to 10(-2) Pa and in the temperature range of
the MH-activator 300-780 K. The results of experimental investigation
s of the influence of the MH-activation effect on the characteristics
of a non-self-maintained gas discharge are given. The possibility and
expendency of using the hydrogen MH-activation effect in hydrogen-usin
g gas discharge energy conversion devices with the aim of increasing t
heir efficiency and improving their operating characters has been subs
tantiated.
