R. Pitera et al., EVALUATION OF NONISOTOPIC IN-SITU HYBRIDIZATION FOR MESSENGER-RNA IN REACTIVE AND NEOPLASTIC LYMPHOID-CELLS, Pathology research and practice, 192(2), 1996, pp. 130-136
An evaluation of nonisotopic in situ hybridization (NISH) for mRNA in
archival lymphoid tissue was carried out and an analysis of factors af
fecting the final outcome was performed. A modification of the in situ
reverse transcription method for RNA preservation assessment has been
used and described. We have sh own that, for frozen samples mRNA dete
ction is optimal within 3 months of the biopsy being taken, while pres
ervation declines after 1 year of storage.
