Fast initial decays of both the luminescence intensity and the circula
r luminescence polarization at high exciton densities, under resonant
excitation, are reported for the first time. These fast decays are sim
ultaneously initiated by the increase of the ellipticity of the photog
enerating picosecond laser beam. The theory of the mechanism illustrat
es the driving role of the interexciton exchange interaction.
