T. Shinonaga et al., MULTITRACER STUDY ON THE BEHAVIOR OF VARIOUS ELEMENTS IN ATMOSPHERE PLANT-SYSTEMS, Journal of radioanalytical and nuclear chemistry, 212(3), 1996, pp. 163-172
The direct absorption of atmospheric elements via soybean leaves has b
een studied using a radioactive miltitra oer technique. Soybean was cu
ltivated until it bore seeds in a box under no-rain conditions and wit
h introduction of multitracer-adsorbed cellulose powders. The radioact
ive nuclides of 40 elements were produced from Au target irradiated wi
th N-14, and the nuclides with relatively long half-life of the elemen
ts Sc, Mn, Co, As, Se, Rb, Sr, Y, Eu, Gd, Yb, Re, and Ir were dominant
ly observed in each part of soybean plant.
