Vm. Jimenez et al., SYNTHESIS OF SNO AND SNO2 NANOCRYSTALLINE POWDERS BY THE GAS-PHASE CONDENSATION METHOD, Sensors and actuators. B, Chemical, 31(1-2), 1996, pp. 29-32
The present paper deals with the study of the application of the gas p
hase condensation method to the synthesis of nanostructured tin oxides
(SnO and SnO2). The method consists of the evaporation of a precursor
compound (Sn, SnO, SnO2) in an inert gas atmosphere (He) to collect a
n ultrafine powder. The analysis of the obtained materials by XRD (X-r
ay diffraction), TEM (transmission electron microscopy) and XPS (X-ray
photoelectron spectroscopy) allows us to determine the experimental c
onditions that produce the best nanostructured ultrafine powders.
