TRAUMATIC CERVICAL DISC HERNIAE IN WRESTL ERS

Five wrestlers presented to our hospital with traumatic slipped disc o f the cervical spine. Average age of the athletes was 25 years. They w ere just on top of their sporting career. in four cases the athletes w ere operated on via foraminotomy. In one case ventral discectomy and f usion of the operated segment was performed. Postoperative outcome was good in all patients. Clinical history, operative procedure, neuropat hological and neuroradiological findings and pathogenesis were discuss ed.
