Abstract
A series of honeycomb monolithic catalyst supports based on alumina, s epiolite and mixtures of the two were prepared. The textural character ization of these was carried out after heat treatments up to 1473 K, i n order to assess the relative merits or drawbacks in the use of sepio lite as a possible admixture to improve the mechanical strengths of th e monoliths, whilst preserving high specific surface areas and porosit ies.
