Abstract
Three methods of determining the content of mineralizable nitrogen com pounds are evaluated for the soils of the Ural region. The methods stu died basically indicate the rate of transformation of nitrogen in the soil and they complement one another. It is suggested that the content of mineralizable nitrogen be used in determining plant nutrition and evaluating soil fertility.
