Abstract
The article presents formulas for calculating the group velocity of ul trasound in a special kind of transversely isotropic medium modeling t he austentic-ferritic material of welding seams. It contains the deter mination of the addition to the components of the group velocity arisi ng on account of the magnetization of the medium. The article shows th at magnetization can change the angle between the vectors of group and phase velocities.
