Abstract
Using the diffused and global solar irradiation measured during summer (June, July and August) some useful atmosphere parameters have been c alculated. These parameters are the horizontal visibility (VIS), horiz ontal optical density (K), preciptable water (W), transmittance due to aerosol tau(A) and the turbidity coefficient (beta). The average calc ulated values for these parameters in Bahrain are 12.3 km, 0.318 km(-1 ), 107 mm, 0717 and 0.185 respectively. These caculated values seem to be reasonably accurate when compared with those obtained by using met hods other than the solar radiation data.
