Abstract
We study electron-atom scattering in the presence of a laser field wit h elliptic polarization. We discuss the dependence of the differential cross sections for the cases of circular and linear polarizations as a function of scattering angle and laser frequency. Important differen ces appear between the angular distributions depending on the differen t states of polarization.
