SPERM-INDUCED UROLITHIASIS IN THE RAT

Experiments are described demonstrating that experimental insemination with autologous or homologous sperm into the ventral prostate or blad der neck of outbred Zbar male rats induces intravesical precipitation or stones. These observations suggest that clinical conditions resulti ng in intravesical sperm may be contributory to bladder lithiasis in m an and may have relevance to its prevalence in men vs. women.
