Abstract
We present the results of a sensitive radio survey of 22 previously un observed magnetic cataclysmic variable stars (MCVs), made by the Very Large Array (VLA) and the Australia Telescope Compact Array. In additi on, we summarize the results of previous observations of 15 MCVs made with the VLA. None of the 37 MCVs were detected. Extensive observation s of the star V834 Cen have failed to detect significant emission, sug gesting that either the high flux densities previously reported by Wri ght et al. [MNRAS, 231, 319 (1988)] for this source are incorrect, or that it produces occasional transient emissions.
