The second fascicle of the lichen exsiccat ''Lecanoroid Lichens'' is b eing issued by the Botanical Institute, University of Essen, Germany. Some remarks on the taxonomy, nomenclature and chemistry of the specie s distributed are made Haematomma neglectum Lumbsch and Feige, Halecan ia australis Lumbsch and Lecanora elixii Lumbsch are described as new. Schistoplaca is reduced into synonymy with Lecanora and S. alveariali s with L. sphaerospora.
