Abstract
The primary structure of the acidic capsular antigen of Escherichia co li O8:K25:H9 was shown by monosaccharide analysis, methylation analysi s, and by 1D and 2D H-1 and C-13 NMR spectroscopy to be composed of Li near tetrasaccharide repeating units having the structure: --> 2)-beta -D-GlcpA-(1 --> 3)-alpha-D-GalpNAc-(1 --> 3)-alpha-D-GalpNAc-(1 --> 2) -alpha-D-Fucp-(1 -->
