Abstract
An analytical and a Finite Element (EE) model for eddy current computa tion on the RFX conductive shell are compared by means of a harmonic a nalysis. The influence of the basic assumptions of the analytical mode l is investigated and the criteria for the choice of the FE mesh are p resented. The application limits of the models are discussed and their accuracy is assessed by means of experimental measurements on the act ual RFX shell.
