Abstract
Doubly-armed diazatetralactams constitute a new series of easily synth esized tetralactams. The structural study of the calcium complexes of their N,N'-dimethyl acetamido and (2-pyridylmethyl) derivatives was pe rformed by IR, H-1, C-13 NMR spectroscopies and molecular modeling. Th ese complexes showed a C-2 symmetry and a high number (8-9) of coordin ation around the calcium atom.
