Tumours of peripheral nerve sheaths ace rarely malignant, and even whe
n malignant they are only infrequently associated with extensive destr
uction of bone. The authors report the computed tomography and magneti
c resonance imaging findings for an unusually large sheath tumour that
presented with extensive destruction in the lumbar spine.
