A 27-year-old woman with known pulmonary, cutaneous and osseous histio
cytosis X presented with vague abdominal pain. Double-contrast barium
enema examination revealed multiple colonic bull's-eye lesions. Biopsy
showed histiocytic infiltration similar to that already described at
other sites in this patient (the lungs and bone). To the authors' know
ledge, this case represents the first radiologic description of this m
anifestation of histiocytosis X. Though rare, it should be considered
in the differential diagnosis of colonic bull's-eye lesions.
