Abstract
Piperidinoethyl esters of 2-, 3- and 4-alkoxy substituted phenylcarbam ic acids (PAPC) inhibit photosynthetic processes in alga Chlorella vul garis and spinach chloroplasts. These inhibitory activities of PAPC we re correlated with chromatographically determined lipophilicity charac teristics log k' (from HPLC) and Kovats indices K(IO) (from gas chroma tography) using parabolic and bilinear model. Both theoretical models are suitable for description of studied correlations, however from the viewpoint of statistical analysis Kubinyi's bilinear model gives bett er results.
