Abstract
An approximate model developed to obtain the input impedance of the mi crostrip fed slot antenna is presented. Using this model, the input im pedances of several slot antennas are predicted. For these antennas, t he validity of the modelling is supported by comparing the values of t he return losses measured against those obtained theoretically.
