Abstract
The authors report the generation of 0.5 mW blue light at 430nm by fre quency doubling CW diode laser radiation in ion-implanted KNbO3 channe l waveguides at room temperature with a normalised conversion efficien cy of 20%/W. The emission wavelength of the diode laser was kept stabl e by providing optical feedback from a external grating.
