Abstract
Free massless bosonic fields of arbitrary spins s > 0 corresponding to totally (anti)symmetric representations of the SO(n-1) compact subgro up and living in n-dimensional anti-de Sitter space are investigated. We propose the free equations of motion, subsidiary conditions and cor responding gauge transformations for such fields. The equations obtain ed are used to derive the lowest eigenvalues of the energy operator fo r the above-mentioned representations, which is the main result of the letter.
