Abstract
In this paper a theoretical model is presented which describes the coh erent coupling of two laser modes inside the same crystal. The modes a re pumped independently by two fibre-coupled laser diodes. The theoret ical predictions of various locking effects are compared with first ex perimental results. Different phase-locking states and frequency locki ng are observed.
