Abstract
The 2D scaling approach for the optical properties of semicontinuous m etal films is generalized to thick (3D) percolative films. Model calcu lations demonstrate that the scaling model is qualitatively different from any effective medium approach, and should be used whenever the in homogeneity length scale is larger than the optical one.
