Abstract
The results of overcharge tests performed on seventy automotive batter ies from several manufacturers were analyzed by means of a principal c omponent analysis. Two parameters, derived from the analysis, are prop osed as convenient measures of overall battery performance and stabili ty, allowing a bidimensional graphical representation of the original fourteen-dimensional data matrix.
