S. Arno et Di. Frank, A GROUP FOR WANDERING INSTITUTIONALIZED CLIENTS WITH PRIMARY DEGENERATIVE DEMENTIA, Perspectives in psychiatric care, 30(3), 1994, pp. 13-16
The authors implemented a group in a state psychiatric institution for
women with primary degenerative dementia. The group provided schedule
d opportunity in a nonrestrictive environment for structured movement
and sensory stimulation. Over a period of nine sessions, small but sig
nificant changes were noted in the members' behavior. This type of the
rapy can benefit such limited clients by enhancing the quality of thei
r life in the institution.
