FUTURE-PROSPECTS OF COMPUTER-BASED ASSESS MENT, EXEMPLIFIED ON THE BASIS OF TREATMENT-ORIENTED ASSESSMENT

The subject of this article is treatment-oriented assessment, and the use of computer-based technologies in this field for the client and th e diagnostician. After defining psychological assessment and computer- based assessment, the state of the art of computer-based psychological assessment is described. Subsequently elements of a theory of compute r-based assessment are discussed as well as elements of computer-based treatment-oriented assessment. Some practical examples underline the theoretical considerations.
