Intralabyrinthine schwannoma is a rare tumor. Until the present time,
the diagnosis, for the most part, has been made either incidentally du
ring labyrinthectomy or described as a pathologic finding during tempo
ral bone histologic studies. This article presents a patient with long
-standing dysequilibrium and hearing loss due to an intralabyrinthine
schwannoma. Diagnosis was made on the basis of a magnetic resonance im
aging with gadolinium prior to surgery and confirmed pathologically on
excision.
