This paper examines genetic and phenotype variation of: seeds from 2 p
opulations of Pinus nigra. ARNOLD subsp. salzmanii (Dunal) FRANCO. See
ds size are compared with an image analyzer, showing significant diffe
rences between the 2 populations, which could be induced by observed e
nvironmental differences. The genetic distance is analysed, using the
isozyme variation. The x(2) test shows that the allele frequencies of
the ACO-1 and GOT-1 isozymes are significantly different, which means
that these isozymes would appear as genetic markers capable of differe
ntiating the 2 populations studied.
